(CPOD) May 31, 2003 – Residents of Ontario are split over the use of racial profiling, according to a poll by Compas Inc. for CanWest News and Global Television. 49 per cent of respondents in the Canadian province believe the practice should be allowed in the fight against terrorism, during a medical crisis and to combat crime.

Confidence In War On Terror Dips After Latest Attacks

(CPOD) May 29, 2003 – Americans are less certain about an eventual victory over terrorism, according to a poll by Gallup released by CNN and USA Today. 54 per cent of respondents say the United States and its allies are winning the war on terror, an 11 per cent drop since April.

(CPOD) May 27, 2003 – The ruling Republican Party leads the Democrats in the United States, 18 months prior to the next presidential election, according to a poll by CBS News and the New York Times. More than half of all respondents have a favourable view of the Republicans, and believe the party has a clear plan for the country.

(CPOD) May 13, 2003 – Former Florida governor Bob Graham would lose to Republican George W. Bush if the United States 2004 presidential election were held today, according to a poll by Schroth & Associates published in the Miami Herald. 52 per cent of respondents would vote for Bush, while 43 per cent favour Graham.
