(Angus Reid Global Monitor) – Many adults in the United States believe their government’s decision to launch the coalition effort was wrong, according to a poll by CBS News. 51 per cent of respondents think the U.S. should have stayed out of Iraq, down two points since September.
(Angus Reid Global Monitor) – Most people in the United States disagree with the way their government has dealt with the coalition effort, according to a poll by Public Opinion Strategies and Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research released by National Public Radio. 53 per cent of respondents think the current strategy leaves 130,000 troops caught up in an endless religious civil war, and call for a troop reduction to force the Iraqis to find a political solution.

Bush’s new approach in Iraq, while 42 per cent disagree.

Only 17 per cent of respondents think the recent increase in U.S. troops led to major improvements in the situation in Iraq, while 45 per cent believe it did not make much of a difference.
(Angus Reid Global Monitor) – Adults in the United States are clearly divided over the proposals of the commander of the Multi-National Force – Iraq, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 43 per cent of respondents favour David Petraeus’ recommendation to withdraw 30,000 soldiers from Iraq but leave 130,000 troops in place at least through the summer, while 38 per cent are opposed.
(Angus Reid Global Monitor) – The number of people in Iraq who want coalition troops to immediately withdraw from their country has significantly increased since March, according to a poll by D3 Systems and KA Research Limited released by ABC News. 47 per cent of respondents think all foreign soldiers should leave now, up 12 points since March.
