- Public support for John Howard is stagnant in Australia, according to a Newspoll published in The Australian. 46 per cent of respondents are satisfied with their prime minister’s performance, unchanged since late November.
- Many adults in the United States believe their elected lawmakers will not deal properly with immigration, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 51 per cent of respondents think it is unlikely for the U.S. Congress to pass a serious immigration reform.
- Many Dutch adults believe the government should allow some immigrants to remain in the country, according to a poll by Maurice de Hond. 53 per cent of respondents support a general pardon for asylum seekers.
- Many adults in Britain are in favour of the proposed system of national identity cards, according to a poll by YouGov published in the Daily Telegraph. 50 per cent of respondents support the plan, while 39 per cent are opposed.
