Dutch Voters Would Reject Lisbon Treaty
- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - If the Lisbon Treaty were put to a vote in the Netherlands it would be rejected, according to a poll by Maurice de Hond. 54 per cent of respondents would vote against the common body of law for the European Union (EU) if they could cast a ballot in a referendum, while 46 per cent would vote in favour. - (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - As the date to decide whether to ratify or reject the Lisbon Treaty nears in Ireland, the final outcome of the ballot remains unclear, according to a poll by TNS mrbi published in The Irish Times. 30 per cent of respondents would vote in favour of adopting the new common European treaty in this month’s referendum, while 35 per cent would vote against it.
